I couldn't agree more. We need to pound the ball and control the clock. We can't get behind and abandon the run or Brees will shred our secondary. We could really use a pick in this game."PurplePowerPunch" wrote:
I want to see Chester get at least 10 carries this game, and Peterson with over 25."i_bleed_purple" wrote:
Dude, U ain't never lied right there. Play-calling for us is just horrible, and so boring. Let's see some play-action, or some RB sweep passes or something! I really want us to pound the ball tonight tho! The Saints have both of there starting DT's out for the game. Herrea and Hutch better get to the secound level(That means the LB's for all u out there who never played football in your life) and just tee off on those guys!"Mark_The_Viking" wrote:
you'll find a lot of people around here have the same opinion of you as far as Nance is concerned, I don't though, and I really don't think he would help us.That's me told then
Our problem is beyond who's qb and wr, and has everything to do with playcalling.
Get the ball to Rice, get the ball to Allison, don't abandon the run in the 2nd half, try some play action.
I could hit "ask madden" and come up with more reliable and unpredictable plays than Childress comes up with.
with both starting DT's out, this could be huge for both of them, not to mention they have a lousy secondary, and only one decent linebacker.
If childress is smart this game, (i know, a bit of a stretch) I could see 150+ easilly by Peterson, and another 70 by taylor.
They will throw short to Bush out in space, so the linebackers will need to perform.
Brees has the potential to have a huge night against our defense. Let's hope that doesn't happen.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

sad to say i agree with you. i watch other teams and see guys wide open across the middle, catch the ball with room to run. i minute we catch the ball we are hit and brought down. we have no speration. and when the QB is in trouble no one breaks a route off to come back to the ball and i dont know why."PurpleTide" wrote:

Never will I ever be able to want to lose... WTF. I want to get a winning streak going now, hopefully we will see that offense get better also. Way to stir the pot Souhan. I think we are starting to show improvement in the passing game and if we had some healthy recievers we might even see some 300 yard passing games this year......
Our passing game sucks, throwing for 266 is a record for this team. Stillno 100 yard wr in over 3 years. have we had a 2 td wr? The things outher teams with amazing run games do, we cannot. Gut the coaching staff, the Qb positions and most of the WRs. Get me a real offense.

Re: Big plays passing Vikings by of late
All of that changes tonight if for only one game.
The Vikings are going to have their best passing performance in the Chill Willy era and we will finally have a 100 yd WR and a 350+ yd QB.
