    Re: Better Special Teams?

As far as I can remember, we have not really had a dominating Special Teams squad. I may be wrong, but nothing comes to mind now. We did have good ST players though.

well if we get nugent, he can probably get us some touchbacks every now and then so we don't have to worry about it as much on returns.

    Re: Better Special Teams?

The last time I remember the special teams being top notch was in the late 80's when guys like Joey Browner and Scott Studwell actually played special teams. Anthony Carter was a great return gut at that time as well.
Don't worry, I'll take care of it!!

i agree...if we had a guy that more times than not will give us touchbacks on kick-off returns, it will help out field postion and our defense as well as the ST squad.

this is why i wouldn't mind if we got nugent by the second round--heck we need him.

Average nfl kicker can put the ball in the endzone on kickoffs. we very rarely seen it inside the 5 most of the times it would drop around 7-9 yard line you figure if we get nuge he starts kickin it atleast in to the endzone we wont get a touchback every time but it will help alot because now a 25 yard return gets you to the 23- 25 yard line instead of the 33-35 yard line imo
