I don't remember seeing one person (on this board) mention Fason's name before the draft, and now we are crowning him as our number one guy.

I don't doubt that he is good but this is an open competition for RB and it is silly to even debate it.

I am not being a jerk, I am just suggesting we slow down a bit. WOW!

It is great that people are seeing our draft picks as positives and not negatives. Overall we did pretty well.

About who is our no. 1 RB, last year left us without enough information to answer that one. Injuries, suspension and rookie-eye-tus caused us not to have a bearing on the situtation.

Did someone say that Onterio was dope or on dope?
I predicted Fason to be our #1 before the draft!
No way Ultra, then you are the only one. We want proof, can you find us some proof. A shread of evidence or was it lost in transition to the new site.

    LOL
I remember Ultra saying the vikings will move up in the 4th to get Fason after he falls. It was in the live chat so you are just going to have to take my word for it.

I know Tice loves Moe Williams and he drafted Fason because he reminded him of Moe. So I say Fason wins the job ....maybe not until midway through the seaon but I think he'll win it.

    Order for me...

    1)Mewelde
    2)Fason
    3)Smith
    4)Bennett
    5)Williams

I think we need to trade Bennett for a 3rd rounder next year.

I would like to see Smith get that load this year, but it seems like a reach.

    Let the best back win!

Bennett WILL win the starting spot.. i garuntee it.. not a doubt in my mind.. he is gettin to be a better football player.. and when healthy could be a top 10 back.. i believe he will be more durable this year and will play a ton of good football for us.. with Mewelde being our spell back

If Bennett stays healthy I predict 1500+ yards no doubt about it!

I hope your right about bennett...I think he is a good back. I would prefer someone who can put a hurtin on someone but who ever wins the job has my support!

Mewelde Moore...and it's not even close! The guy had more yards in the three games he started than either Bennett or Smith had in their best six games of the year. I know that Tice was down on him for not recovering quickly from his injury, but he really made their offense go when he played.

    Re: Best Running back

Mewelde won't be a 3rd down back. That spot belongs to Moe. We are too iffy on RB to trade any of them. All of them are solid but have theur own problems.

Bennet - injury prone, if he doesnt get injured i think he is our #1.
Smith - one more drug violation and he's suspended for a year. he's a great backup option.
Moore - needs to show me a bit more. We can't put all our chips on what could be a fluke. I say we keep him returning and mix him in.
Fason - poor guy gets no PT but at least he gets the check to support his fam.

Moe is our most proven back. Bennet and Moore make for good 3rd down backs too.

We probably won't know our starter until the end of preseason.
