Brad Johnson:

209.4 yards/start , 3:1 TD:INT ratio, TD/start: 1.3, int/start: 0.4
Lord Favre:
gs: 16, pct: 61.3, yards 3881, td: 20, INT: 29, rating: 70.9
242.5 yards/start, 1:1.45 TD:INT ratio, TD/start: 1.25, int/start: 1.8
after looking at those stats, the only thing favre wins at is yards/start
I rest my case... again.

Yet my guess is those same people who are defending Favre & holding fast to the "one bad year" theory, are the same ones who have bashed & hated on Vikings players, recently departed or still on the team when they had a bad year. :wink:Everyone also seems to be reading a lot into one bad year by Favre....
Don't make me go dredging again.

Efficiency moves the chainsI'd love to say Brad Johnson but, in reality, I think it's a wash. Favre makes mistakes, but can also put the team on his back and make spectacular plays to win games. Brad doesn't make mistakes, but doesn't have the ability to win a game single-handedly. He didn't even break 200 yards passing in many of his games last year. His efficiency is great, but many of his passes are 2 yarders out to the flats or on quick slant routes.
In general, the NFC North is probably the weakest in the NFL with regards to the QB position and if Gein Bay were to offer a straight up trade of Favre for Johnson, I would definitely give it some serious thought.Trying to bring rationale to an irrational site

QB Rating does NOT equal wins/superbowls. It's just a stupid number to help with fantasy football. AND, how was Favre's passer rating with his 29 ints?"ultravikingfan" wrote:

I got one number for ya: 29. WOW, we've got some bias Viking fans on this website.
I'm SHOCKED that EVERYONE hasn't voted for Brett Favre.
I know he's the enemy and we all hate the Green Bay Packers, but at least give the man his respect.
Even at 36 years of age Brett Favre is easily the best QB in the NFC North.
I know his interceptions continue to climb as time goes along, but he still has the ability to carry a team on his back.
You might want to put up Brad's QB rating while you are throwing up numbers....I don't know what it is but from what I saw it can't be good.
Again, I hope the Vikes can mitigate this with a great running game.Trying to bring rationale to an irrational site

Re: best qb in the NFC north?
I'm very glad Brad Johnson is our Quarterback and not Brett Favre. In recent history, it's not even close:
Brad Johnson > Brett Favre by far. I'm surprised so many people are getting so pissy that people are picking Brad over Madden Jr.

Had to vote for Fav-re. although it's close. Looks like all 5 people that regularly post on that sight voted (NFL.com).
