The best play of the entire NFL season is....

Hey folks. I am sort of an outsider looking in, but I hope you will accept my comments. I wish to tell you what was the best play of the entire 2009 NFL season.

WITHOUT A DOUBT, week 3, Favre taking the Vikings 80 yards with NO timeouts and throwing a final pass to Greg Lewis. Nothing tops that. Nothing.

And to put icing on the cake? Waiting for the booth review. Only to realize it counted. The crowd roared equally in volume once again.

I will never forget that moment. If I told you my team it would shock you, but I would rather just express my comment about how badass that moment was for me and the season.

I plan to post this at Daily Norseman and Vikings Fan Forum too, sorry if members there see this twice. Just wanted to share to all major venues of Vikings.

the NFL has this thing where you can vote for the best play of the season. I'm not sure if its still going, but it will be announced during hte superbowl. I fully expect that to be the winner. Close second might be that lucky bounce the Broncos got vs. the Bengals to win the game at the beginning of the season.

The late Pittsburgh TD against the Pack could make a strong case, as well.

After dissecting it, seeing how we lost time after time, and writing about it, I can't see it anymore, though.

I'd give the Vikes play the nod, as well.

I would have to say it was the one I put on Wildwoman in the stands during the Bengals/Vikes game.

That might have been good, but the single best play of the year was Mars leaving early. Guaranteed us a win against the Niners.
