    Re:Berrian was WIDE OPEN

Anybody wonder if Jackson should have been in for the injured guy? OK, probably not, but you know he runs for that first down and then some!?!??

But, the Theme of this years crushing despair was:
"How many ways can any one team shoot off their own feet!?!??!??!"

    Doh! Fumbliah in the Bayou-Doh! INT-Doh! 12 men-Doh!

And, once again, the refs screw us too! Only this time they admited it!! WTF!?!? That missed penalty that turned into a fine would have negated an INT and set us up on NO's 19 yard line!!!!! 3 points and no OT!?!?!? DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! How can they hate us so...and flaunt it in our faces and get away with it!?

I think they owe Wilf and the Vikes a favor!

Or is this their punishment for the Williamses outsmarting them?

Sure, T-Jack would have ran for that first down ... but the first down pass earlier in the drive and the bullet to Sidney would have been jump pass interceptions. So, we probably would never have gotten to the severe disappointment because we would have been severely disappointed much earlier.

Funny commentary, "he could have set up Ryan Longwell for a really easy shot"

Even if he got to the 30 which he wouldn't have a 47 yard field goal is not an "easy shot"

Nah, he throws it to Berrian, Berrian bobbles it, and it's picked off anyway, and possibly returned for 6. At best he drops it, and we have to attempt a 56yd FG. A 56yd attempt means Longwell has to kick it low, and drive it, then it's blocked, and returned for 6 as well.

At least with any of those scenarios, I'd probably have more closure. Robbed by refs? Really, that's what I have to wonder for the rest of my life?

This game was so weird, nobody can agree about who is more to blame, and maybe that's best. There's plenty of blame to go around, and that means a lot went wrong.

Favre trusts Rice more than anyone and will throw to him even when he is obviously covered.

well given the good link ups that Favre & Rice had this year then I can understand that. All QB's will push the boundaries a little when they are looking at their favourite receiver and Favre is no different in that respect.
Yes he shouldn't have thrown it but given some of the critical plays he made all year to get the team winning and, eventually, to the NFCC game then the guy deserves some slack on that throw.

Why are you guys still talking about a game that happened and isn't going to get replayed?

Lets move on and talk about getting ready for next year.

It very well could get replayed next year. They need to learn from this. Lets hope we never see 12 men on the field. My guess is we won't with Weaver.
