Berrian was WIDE OPEN

I don't know if this was discussed as I am finally able to watch TV again now, but BERRIAN WAS WIDE OPEN -_-. WIIDDDEEE OPPENN!! If Favre was smart and Freaking pump faked it to Rice, berrian wouldve been left alone and he couldve gotten to the 20-25 yard line. OMFG or he couldve ran it to the 30.

Farve had three choices, and he made the worst choice of the three. He chose the guy (Rice) who was actually double covered.

    Peterson fumble
    Harvin fumble
    Berrian fumble

    12 MEN ON THE FIELD!

Favre made a dumb decision. He got us to the NFC title game. Bevell/Childress called the pass. IMO it never should have gotten to Favre making a dumbass throw. I don't think he should have ran because the LBer was eyeing him up and Favres hammy and ankle were fucked up. Berrian was wide open.

it's similar to how he threw it to the only well-covered guy in the 2007 NFC Championship Game OT for an interception. It's like he gets 100% set in what he wants to do on big plays like that or something...I'm not sure.

    Good stuff, bro.

...Seriously though, people need to quit trying to pin the game on one play or player. Game is over, too late to change anything. I really don't see what the point was of bringing this up.

    Re:Berrian was WIDE OPEN

Yeah it is possible... But, he only ran the ball 9 times ALL YEAR for 7 yards and lost two fumbles on 2 of those 9 attempts. Not to mention the multiple throws past the line of scrimmage he had. It isn't going through his mind to run. Its about the pass. He is 40.

I understand where you're coming from, and I wish we could go back and see what happened if he had ran it. However, I still and will always pin it on Childress/Bevell for not running the football on that play.

Yeah... wow. Watching it like that really makes you realize how much room he had and time to make a decision. WTF was he thinking?

It is fun to see guys come out that have been MIA all year. It sucks that this happened but it sure makes for one hell of a 2010 season.

Once again ... hindsight is hindsight.

It definitely hurts to see. I keep forgetting how ridiculous it was he threw it. Hell, he could have stopped and set his feet if he wanted to. I am not that worried about "missing" Berrian, because the guy clearly breaks off of Berrian because he sees Favre looking elsewhere.

It is what it is at this point. Time to move on to hopefully a fantastic 2010.
