dont know if this has been posted already or not but i found this funny. Im pretty sure that the phrase "purple jesus" was coined here at PP.O but this guy uses it in his previes of vikes @ packers
And I'm 100% sure you are WRONG!. If you would have taken the time to read this thread, you would have known that.

Not trying to be a jerk, but the credit for "Purple Jesus" goes to Big Daddy Drew, a blogger on Kissing Suzy Kolber.

From page 10 of this thread.

It's either Zeus or someone was using the term "Purple Jesus" before Zeus did. It might be where Zeus "borrowed" it from.
I first saw it used on the Kissing Suzy Kolber blog back in September....

=Z=
And if you would have seen the Vikings at Perkins thread, it was mentioned there;

By the way the KFAN chat has picked up on Zeus' "Purple Jesus."

Time to set the record straight! It is not Zeus' Purple Jesus.

Never has been.

He didn't come up with the name He'll tell you that himself.

Big Daddy Drew did back on August 18th

http://kissmesuzy.blogspot.com/2007/08/his-name-is-not-adrian-peterson-his.html

He found that on "Kissing Suzy Kolber" & brought to light here on PP,O. & he spreads the word of Purple Jesus throughout the purple land.

Then there's the thread itself where Zeus brought up the "Purple Jesus" name being coined by Big Daddy Drew on Kissing Kolber;

His Name is not Adrian Peterson. His name is Purple Jesus

The rookie for the Minnesota Vikings is turning out to be – so far – one of the most explosive running backs in NFL history.

By Jim Klobuchar
Correspondent of The Christian Science Monitor

from the November 9, 2007 edition

Minneapolis - For pure theater there isn't much the National Football League will give you this season to equal the spectacle that will play out in Green Bay on Sunday. There, the lovable patriarch named Brett Favre, happily defying the limits of time and battered body, leads his football team against a suddenly emerging young phenomenon named Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings....

Kevin Garnett is gone. Daunte Culpepper and Randy Moss are long gone. Torii Hunter and Johan Santana may be going.

Doesn't matter. Minnesota has upgraded - to a national phenomenon, the man they call "All Day," Adrian Peterson.....

Great article.
Let's just hope and pray he doesn't get hurt.
Love Gruden's comments, my wife TIVO'd Wiley's comments...he claimed to be uniquely qualified because he played with LT2 for a few years.

The kid has it all, I thought he should have won the Heisman his Freshman year, too.
If we find a QB, we are gonna win for many, many years.
The chances of landing one via Free Agency are much better with AD here.

I've got him in three Fantasy Leagues, hopefully, the predictions are correct...so far, so good.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent
