Away Game Idea
Talking with Running Aces hosts tonight...
They have a private screening room for watching Vikings games....includes massaging leather chairs, live internet/computers hooked up for fantasy/forums checking...
They offered to help setup a private PPO party at the club.
We could all catch some cards or blackjack out in the room, or they could get us a private blackjack table too.
Cater in some grub, or take advantage of their $1 dog and Miller beer specials all game long.
We can follow that up with some coverage on Sports Final as they tape during and after the games...maybe gets a few of youse ugly mugs on the TV too.
If there is sufficient interest for maybe a game in December, we will get it set up.
Reply here or PM me.

Sounds like a fun setup.

Would there be a cover charge involved? How many people can the room hold?

I (And my son) would go, If you had my game alternatives (Watch at local sports bars with 95% Bears fans, so would you), The drive is nothing, My son is 11yrs old, gets decked out in his AP jersey, constantly hi fiving, singing the Skol song, and yells for Allen to "Break fill in the opposing players leg" he would make you all proud. The cost would be......
Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.

The Mrs and I are a tentative yes.
It depends on which game and whether or not our schedules are open.
Nov and Dec are crazy for us - hell, Mrs Nodak is in Florida right now.

Very cool idea.
What kind of food do they have there?
I'd like to drop by and bring my wife maybe.
I guess it just depends on the food and stuff.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

Re: Away Game Idea
Ask Shock...the food there is freekin good.
If we cater it in...otherwise we can order ala carte, or they have concessions stuff too.
Its got everything.
The room holds about 20 or 25 guests...I thought we could probably make that number easily...not much of a card shark myself but would play a little for fun.

Shame there's no craps tables allowed in this state.
