The Aundrae Allison story has some potential

The Aundrae Allison story has some potential

The Vikings' fifth-round draft pick from East Carolina has two passions: catching footballs and writing scripts for television and film.

I hope all our draft picks make the squad, and contribute. Seems like this kid has some wheels and is pretty articulate. Keep it up Aundrae.

From what I know about Aundrae Allison, he should have been drafted much, much higher, like the 2nd or 3rd round. We got him in the 5th, I think. The result is that we got a very talented (potentially) receiver, who will play with a chip on his shoulder every Sunday, I think, because he will be trying to show all those teams what they missed.

Sounds like 1998, doesn't it ?

LOL.
Diddo Purp.
I saw a rookie ranking from someone out of Sportsline (quite awhile before draft) that had him ranked as the 5th top receiver or so.
He has the raw talent, Childress and Stewart are determined to develop these young guys, he fits the scheme, and he has looked good at camp.
He could definitely produce some numbers.

The day that I was at camp he was a magnet to the ball.
No joke, Henson was in at 11-on-11 passing drills and Allison was walking back to the squad on the unoccupied sideline and Henson threw the ball right to him.

Not at all.
Moss was a consensus 1st-round pick that teams shied away from because of off-field concerns.
Allison sounds like a solid citizen who was never thought of as a 1st-rounder.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Moss was going to go to Notre Dame and lost that scholarship.
Of course Florida State takes anyone, they gave Moss a 2nd chance and he blew that.
He eventually ended up at Marshall.
Yes, there were alot of off field concerns.
Yet, many of us were shocked when it blew up in our faces.
