Thread: arizona game

i know everyone wants revenge on the arizona game in preseason this year, but do u think we should risk putting our starters in just to win a meaningless (record wise) game? what if they get injured?

Tice alrady said he won't play the starters much for this game.

Beating the stuffing out of those birds and Denny is really all
that matters this week.

I really do hope no one is injured, but anything short of a big win
is not acceptable.

That's just silly and I'm glad tice doesn;t think so

well look at all the injuries that have happened in the last couple weeks. several starting players expected to have big seasons are out with injuries. some will be back by the regular season but to me it's just not worth it. i know you guys probably want revenge against the cards but why risk having your stars injured? the preseason is a time to test out the rookies, and 2nd and 3rd string players. if you lose to arizona in the preseason who cares? to me it seems what would matter is if you make it to the playoffs and they don't. just my opinion.

This game against the Cards doesn't mean squat in relation to the regular season. A first string Vike team beating a 3rd string Card team wouldn't prove anything at all.

Agreed. We should just want our 1st team to beat the hell out of their 1st team in the 1st quarter of the game. Preseason wins mean nothing. How do yout think the cards would feel if we killed them in a preseason game? Would they feel like we got payback? NO. They wouldn't give a rats buttooty if we beat them in a preseason game.

Just like the Titans getting pumped up for the preseason game against the Rams in 2000, it was pointless.

We lost to them in preseason last year, lost in the season. For pete's sake, lets at least stop the Sheriff for fun.
