Apology to all "bandwagon jumpers":

As you all know, I am the one who started the "ankle-breaking" thread about those who I thought were leaping off the Purple Bandwagon WAY too early after the loss to the Bucs yesterday. While I meant what I said, what I said was perhaps taken out of context by some of you loyal fans, and for that I apologize.

I am reminded of my younger brother and how he was (and still is) the kind of fan who, if the Vikings were losing by a field goal with 12 minutes left in the 1st quarter, or the opposing team had just gotten a first down, would utter something to the effect "Those F-ERS ARE GONNA LOSE!!!! These guys SUCK!!! We have NO DEFENSE!!!!", and on and on and on...

I didn't mean to doubt those of you who took offense to my comments - it's just that I have been through SO MUCH with this team, dating back to the early 1970's, that it's WAY to early to be spouting gloom and our boys' immediate and eventual slide into horribledom!!!!!

So buck up, all you lads, and let's ride this ship to Valhalla (AKA Detroit and SB XL)!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhh, it's all in the past Shock. There with ya since 1977, but it REALLY did suck to see our team as unprepared/unorganized as it was against a 3rd rate team. Read all you said yesterday and agree with all ... Time to move on and Beat the Stripes of the Bengals.

I guess I didn't see the issue with it. I guess everyone is a little whacked right now with shock. McNabb is sucking it up terrible tonight too, so don't feel bad kids.
