Re: Anyone have a Kluwe?
i was at the game against the saints, and saw him in the parking lot after the game. everyone else was dressed so differently in compairison to him. he looked like he belonged in a book club, not on a football field.
hopefully he can keep up the boomers and keep us winning games. We're bringing purple back.

Re: Anyone have a Kluwe?
He wasn't cut by Seattle, he was placed on their practice squad. We picked him up from there.

Definitely sign him to a deal. But he is or was injury prone. I think he blew out knees once in college and once in high school. I think it is in another thread from a few weeks back that was in one of the area papers.NO SH*T wack the pack. Sign this guy forever i dont see him slowing down anytime soon.
When is the last time you could honestly say that the kicking and punting game where good in the SAME game?
Found this on the Vikings.com sight.

Yes he was.
You have to cut a player before you can sign him to your practice squad, the team has to wait for them to clear waivers which takes about 24 hours. He never signed the practice squad papers, so he was cut and signed with us instead! What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Great find for the Vikes. I wonder who it was that scouted him?

Re: Anyone have a Kluwe?
This is the punter that Seattle kept instead, some of you might remember him as he has had a cup of coffee with the Vikes a couple of times.
2003 he punted in 2 games for the Vikes, 7 punts for a 38.7 average, long of 44
2004 he was brought in and tried out for kickoffs I believe but I do not think that he actually had any kickoff's. If he did somebody help me out!

I would rather have Kluwe and I am sure that Seattle was mad when we stole him away. What we've got here is failure to communicate.

The Vikes last preseason game was against Seattle, and he punted great in that game.
the coaches probably decided before the end of the game that Darren Bennett was gone and if this kid became available that they would scoop him up.What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Re: Anyone have a Kluwe?
I am extremely happy with Edinger and Kluwe right now. In fact I would say we only have three holes on our entire team. Going into week one I thought we had no punter and an iffy kicker. At least Kluwe has proven his worth.

Re: Anyone have a Kluwe?
Yeah, our kicking game has really improved this year! *sarcasm on* I'm still pissed though that we didn't use a first round pick to get Mike Nugent! *sarcasm off*

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
