Re: Is anyone else tired of this negative, fatalistic kaka del rio?

very happy with the win. i got a little nervous when we were stuck on 14 for so long, but 30 points on the road was great. i imagine everyone was a little nervous about this game prior to the kickoffas was i, so a big win like this is appreciated.

now we get to play a bears team that will be on their third consecutive road game.

Re: Is anyone else tired of this negative, fatalistic bullshit?

I am guilty of letting my emotions get to me.
I know the initial post in the post game thread was not all that positive.
I was just very frustrated that we cannot come out and just shine.
Sure we stomped them score wise, but it was an ugly win.
However, all that matters is the "W" and I will take that any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

The title for this thread is pretty negative. ;D

Yeah, I do get tired of the people that whine just to whine.

In sports it is natural to have discussions about what needs to be improved more than what we think is going well.
There are usually more varying points of view on the subject when thing are going bad and coming up with ways to fix them, so naturally there are going to be more posts on the "negative" aspects of the Vikings team.
Everyone here (including me) likes to play the role of Monday night GM/coach.
Dreaming up different scenarios is half the fun of being a Minnesota sports fan.
Lord knows we are tortured when it comes to actually producing champions.
Rock out with your cock out!!!

And I feel that Ultra is the root of all negative posts, and he should be punished for that.

Ultra, you can't wear your Brett Favre Vikings Jersey anymore until you straighten up.
And I don't care if those are actual game worn Brett Favre pants from the Packer locker room...they smell....wash 'em would ya?

    Beating a team that is
4 and 6 is not that impressive to me. This team is built to be beaten by us. Problems passing the ball? Check. Average run game this year? Check? Problems stoping the run? Check.
We won this game due to some freak plays. Football is full of freak plays but even the most optomistic person has to admit that being up 14 - 0 with 1:30 secs off the clock is rare and extrememly fortunate. We have a rough road ahead of us to make the playoffs. We simply beat a team that we were suppose to. Gus looked worst than I have ever seen him( even his 3 int games). He was terrible off target and was looking like a white TJ out on the field. I will take any and every win we get this year but I refuse to stick my head in the ground and pretend that the danger is not close.....

This is the same crap this fanbase did in the offseason. It's the same thing we always accept. We always pretend that nothing is wrong even though there is a train coming and we are on the tracks.

QB problems? No way we have Tj..He will develop to win this year.
WR problems? Rice is the truth and he will develop
DB problems? NO worry Griffen is underrated and will be better?

It's what we always do and it's why we are always disappointed. I find it funny that teams with better records than us has fans that are pushing for them to improve but because we strung together 1 road win, we are suppose to shut up? I'm no ostrich and I will say what I please. So go ahead and plug your ears and pretend the oncoming train is
    your favorite melody.

Which teams? and links to the negative boards please.

My roommate is a Bears fan. He is pretty sure they can win the division with solid defense and a stud RB (sound familiar?)
I live in Dallas. Cowboys hit a rough patch, but now that Romo is healthy fans here are pretty confident in making the playoffs.
The Falcons, Cardinals, and Titans are ecstatic with their seasons.
Buccanneers and Panthers are tied for the division lead (sound familiar?)
    Jets, happy to have Favre.
Pats? Things look ok with Cassell.
Steelers? Winning despite QB hiccups (sound familiar?) and have had Memo step up big.
Ravens? Awesome rookie QB, two good rookie RBs. Defense dominant as always.

Every team with a winning record, including ours, has some reasons to be positive. It is not all doom and gloom.

There is a difference between expressing concerns and being stuck in a perpetual mindset of doom and gloom.
