I've never liked ESPN's Page 2 or their writers.
Thinkin' they are witty, they make snide little comments, click 'Submit', and realize the moment it's too late that they missed some key elements about their comments that nullify everything they write..

He's got to be thinking, "Oh, just my luck -- so now they care?": Wide receiver Koren Robinson, who was caught driving roughly the speed of sound with roughly a vat of alcohol in his system (insert Jim Rome "allegedly" here), was released as the Vikings began a new era of accountability.

What?
Did he completely miss the fact that Minnesota has a completely new coaching staff and new owners?
And that they have stated they were working on cleaning up on these off the field issues?

Then again, maybe "zero tolerance" can be changed to "just a little less tolerance" if the guy's playing a position that's tough to replace: Vikings strong safety Dwight Smith was still working with the first-team defense this week after he was arrested and charged with indecent conduct for having sex with a woman in a stairwell outside a nightclub.

They were humping for God's sake!
Granted, Smith COULD'VE used his head and find a back room or hotel room before letting his manhood play.

One thing about those Vikings: They're strictly NC-17.

I would like to see in the next year or so the Vikings becomming one of the most integrity filled teams just to see this author eat his words.

I'm just sick of having to deal with pricks like this particular Page 2 author who uses the Vikings negative off the field news as punchlines.

hahaha, the vikings ARE punchlines right now and the organization has done little to nothing to fix it.
i thought it was funny. i know theyre our beloved vikings but it is what it is. i posted in another thread about this new "code of conduct" and how there is no acountablility. robinson was going to be released, this was not because he was being held acountable. had we never heard of the "code of conduct" he would have been released anyhow. it was semantics, hes suspended for a year, and thats that. bu bye. maybe they'l sign him after his suspension. at least saban embraces it and doesnt try to blow smoke up his fans arses. maybe we should have kept tice around ;D
