Am I down .

for the fact that we lost to the Pack? well miffed to say the least but not down. We've ended up splitting the season once again, as has happened many times before so no change there.

for the fact that for the second week in a row our defence didn't show up to play as they have done ? thats not good but correctable and, despite what the naysayers say, O'Leary is a good coach and has pulled this unit up way above what they were last year.

for the fact that we're 6-2 after starting 6-0? Hell no ! At the start of the year if we'd been told that the Vikes would be 6-2 at the halfway mark then we would have been delighted. A lot thought that we'd do well to come out of the first three division games with a 2-1 record.

These last two weeks will have been a wake-up call for everyone, players, coaches and fans. We are a good team but in this age of parity no-one is ever going to steamroller everyone else week after week. At the end of the day its not how you start, not how you do the middle stretch but how you finish. If we make the playoffs then anything can happen- as we've found to our cost in the past. Even if we barely scrape into the playoffs it means nothing if we win the Big one.

There that's got that off my chest and I feel better for it
