True, Mandarich was overhyped but at least he was awesome in college which started the hype. Hovan's claim to fame is one slightly above average season and a fight/love obseesion with Brett Favre.

Perfectly put, cajun. Even here in Canada, where we brag about any canuck doing well in the US, we freely admit Mandarich was a disaster and over hyped.
