Alas........the life of a Vikings Fan
Keep the faith, those of you who bleed purple, (like me).
Below are the reasons I will forever remain a true Vikes fan. A lifetime of memories will always trump an 0-2 start. Both Good and Bad, these are my Vikings!
Viking events that have torn me up:
1. Jim Marshall's final run onto the field.
2. Fran's jersey retirement ceremony.
3. Watching that fat b*&^%rd John Madden getting carried off the Rose Bowl field.
4. Bud leaves.
5. Bud comes back.
6. Bud leaves.
7. Ahmad's catch in Cleveland.
8. Disco Darrin Nelson dropping that pass on the goal line in Washington.
9. That friggin field goal by Atlanta.......
10. Too many playoff blow outs to mention....
Sometimes, in the deep quiet darkness of a perfectly still night, surrounded by the tranquility and love which is my life, my wife and my children...I sit bolt upright in bed and exclaim.....THEY STILL DON'T HAVE A SECONDARY!!!!!!

Sometimes being a Vikings fan is like loving a destructive sibling. No matter how much they make you nuts, fail, etc. - you'll always love them.
I've often thought of what it would be like if the Vikes actually won a Super Bowl. I think I would get stretch marks from smiling so much and a smoker's voice from a week of screaming.
