The agony of defeat...
Well, aside from a few bright moments, we didn't look very good.
I don't really know where to point a finger, and at this point it doesn't matter...we're through for the season.
Disappointed? Sure I am. After being red-hot against the PAckers, I had at least hoped that our boys would show some fire...some grit...some WILL.
I didn't see it.
Bad breaks, missed opportunities, blown plays, dropped passes...you name it, we really didn't have anything go our way today.
And it didn't help that the Eagles played a fantastic game...on both sides of the ball. Say what you will about their fans, their TEAM played a great game - and that's where it counts...on the field.
Their Defense was inspired. They blitzed and baffled us from start to finish. And, as we all know, Defense wins Championships.
Our "D" on the flip side, played in absentia. Dropped INT's, blown coverages, lack of "bump" on the Eagles receivers...it would be faster to list what we did right.
Say what you will about the Eagles, they whipped us today. They move on to their 4th consecutive NFC Championship game...we get ready for the Draft.
So, again, congratulations to the Eagles. They played a great game.

Yah ,I can't really think of any one player on our team who played that well.
Once again we made too many mistakes...it'll kill you ever time. Good luck to the Eagles, though I will be cheering for Atlanta in the NFC championship.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Caine, another great post! :salute: Yes, hard to really point fingers, and really won't help us at this point!

Caine, you've crystalized my thoughts eliquently. I would also like to say to everyone on this site that it is great to have Vikes fans to "talk" with here in the southwest. I tip my hat to you!!

Peace through superior firepower!

The agony of defeat...
Well said Caine.
Vikings had their chances, just couldn't come through.
I'll always stick with them, they've been my favorite for 30 some years now.
At least we have the memory of the packer spanking to keep us warm this winter!

The agony of defeat...
After watching the Eagles today, neither of us belong in their league.
We've been talking about the Eagles as the "only" team in the NFC, with the Falcons back a step, and then the rest of us wallowing in mediocrity.
You guys got beat by a superior team today.Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?
Welcome to the NFC North.

Screw that, I still don't think Philly is that good. We shot ourselves in the foot a lot today, as we often do. I would love to see Philly play us in the dome and see just how superior they are.
