I'll tell you in about 9 months how upset I am over this.

It's far too early to tell if this was a good trade or not. I know that it's become very fashionable to blast the Vikings in today's sports media, but at this point, all the "experts" know precisely jack. For all we know, whoever we draft at 7 (Derrick Johnson) could go on to be the best player in the history of football.

I hate the thought of not having Randy. On paper however, it's not the worst trade I've ever seen. Randy isn't that young anymore, and no one gets faster with age... except Dennis Quaid in The Rookie. I don't expect Randy to play until his mid 40's, because there's only one Jerry Rice in each lifetime.

Do I hate this trade? Yes. No. I'll tell you for sure after next season.
