After a dazzling Round 1, what do the Vikings and Packers have for an encore?
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Wow... the Packers fans posting comments to that story are just a touch bitter.
The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

Honestly there wasn't anything dazzling about this game... Minnesota dominated both the offensive and defensive lines. They garnished 8 sacks, and honestly this was still a 14 point game without the bullshit strip call that should have been blown dead.

I will tell you guys something.
If we don't sure up that defensive secondary and our linebacker play, we will not go very far in the playoffs.
Rodgers should never have passed for over 300 yards on us.
That is a problem.
What happens when we get against the Giants?
I actually believe we can beat them.
But we shouldn't be having the trouble we had on defense.
Needs a lot of work.

Donald Lee's drop would have tied the game and also wouldn't have had the Vikings starting a drive from the 1yd line."kspurplepride" wrote:

That drive from the 1yd line went 41 yds before stalling.
I imagine the Vikes would have been able to score on the drive if it started from the 20 from a GB kickoff.
Thus, Vikes win anyway.
As for the OL dominating....
if they did where was the running game?
GB's front 7 were focused on stopping the run.
Getting to Favre was secondary.
They run blitzed ensuring gap dicipline incase it was a run, not much overloading or stunts.
They were relying on Favre to do something stupid or our receivers to drop the ball like last week.
If either happened Vikes would have lost the game.

anyone else wonder why we stayed in our base 43 defense instead of going to a nickel or dime coverage? Definatly could have helped our pass defenseI will tell you guys something.

Favre returning to Lambeau wearing the enemies colors is all that is needed for this game to be of epic proportions.

Finley and Lee were thrown to 12 times with 10 receptions for 156 yds.
Just like with Davis last week our coverage of TE's is killing us.
Is it poor LB or SS play?
Or is it just bad communication leaving a big hole in the zone?
I think Griffen and Winfield did a good job with Jennings and Driver thrown to 12 times, 7 receptions for only 86 yds.
Things need to be fixed, but Vikes DB will always look bad because teams can't run so they pass.
