afghan for a big Vikes fan

I hope you Vikings fans can help me out! I want to make an afghan for my Dad who is also a Vikings fan. I need help in deciding a good design. I want to make the background purple of course and I was thinking the word Vikings in the old style lettering (see image) in yellow. I think the old style lettering will look better in crochet. I would like to incorporate the horns too but I can't figure out how. Any suggestions? Thanks everyone!

An afghan is a blanket. In this case, I'm planning on making a smaller one that's is to be used by one person on a couch or chair.

Sorry but how do you plan to do that weird thing to this poor man and more important what is your dad gonna do with an afghan painted in purple in the couch? I hope not what I am figuring out

Viking Mike, the third one. I like the script too but it won't look good and that small of a blanket, with the small amount of stitches I'm going to use.

It's like pixels so it will prolly be about 150 across and like 250 rows. I use link: http://www.donnascrochetshoppe.com/p..._football.html but the only Vikings pattern is much too big. If I made that one, it would cover a king size bed. So I need to come up with a less intricate pattern so that it will look good on a smaller blanket.

Btw, I only used the word afghan since when ever I call them blankets my Grandma (from Minnesota and big Vikings fan too) corrects me and makes me call them afghans.
