I really like how AD gets involved with the fans, he really is a good role model for youngsters.
A lot of big name athletes would turn something like that down.
Glad to hear he's still as classy as he was when he joined the league.

Being on the cover of a national magazine?

Yes, it was cool how he treated the guy - giving him the shoes and autographs and such.
But I can't name a single "big name" athlete who would say "NO!" to the exposure.

Especially if it didn't involve any travel.
That photo shoot was at Winter Park, after all.

Didn't realize it was for the cover of the mag lol, thought it was just a fan article.
I could name a handful of NFL players who would turn down a photo shoot with a fan because it's a waste of time to them, even if it was local I don't think every player in the league would do it.

I think they offered it to Favre first, but he said "Naaah let Peterson have it, I've gotta get use to giving him things".
