Yet LT, who is NOT splitting carries and has 123 less yards is better because of his last season stats?
What about Peterson's NFL leading 933 yards from scrimmage? or his NFL leading 1257 total all purpose yards?
The only stat LT leads AD in is touchdowns - LT has 7, AP has 6.

LT is an amazing back, but Peterson has earned all of the hype surrounding him.
Don't short change him.

While the press (particularly Seifert and Souhan) can really rile me, I find myself needing to stand up for them in the face of the onslaught of paranoia that follows anything negative written about the Vikes.

I do find myself saying nice read once in awhile.

Well, maybe if Childress used him with a little imagination he would be bar far the best RB in the league.
Let's see -- 1st down run Peterson off right tackle.
2nd down run Peterson off left tackle
3rd down take Peterson out because he can't block, and try a 4 yard dump pass when we have six to go for a first down.

Peterson returns kickoff and has to come out for first play because he is tired from running back kickoff. One of our terrible QB's tried to throw 30 yard downfield pass to one of our terrible receivers who can't get open.
2nd down -- Peterson runs off right tackle.
3rd down dump pass

The Vikings are so predictable! If Peterson is in he runs. Defenders stack 8 or 9 in the box and stop him. Linebacker shadows him.
If Peterson is out defenders put in pass defense and receivers can't get open.

I get so sick and tired of this play-calling I could puke. Peterson got one pass thrown to him for a completion this year. Result was 70+ TD run. "Opps, we better not call that play ever again," says Childress.

Using Peterson as a decoy and then throwing a screen pass to him. Oh no, that would be unconventional. "We can't do that," says Childress.

"I know," says Childress, "Let's have Peterson run back kickoffs so he can injure himself. That will teach him and he won't reach any of his incentives. I'll save the Vikes thousands of $ that they can give me in a raise."
