    Re: Adam Schefter on Porter

No point in trading for a guy at this point when he would only have a marginal impact this year anyway.
By the time he picks up the offense AND gets into playing shape, the season would be over.
I see us drafting a receiver on the first day next year and possibly signing a free agent during the off season.

    Re: Adam Schefter on Porter

I don't get why people wouldn't want this guy?

He is a very very very solid WR.. Defintley would be our number 1 within the next 5 weeks..

He would help us in the long haul of this season.. Peopple say he won't be in shape and won't learn the playbook.. Well the playbook is new to everyone and within a few weeks he should be in solid enough shape to produce better then what we have

Personally by watching him from what i've seen a 3rd round for him would be a steal.. He produced in Oak-town for crist sakes.. Imagine if we can get him, it would open up the running game alot more.. It would just benifit the team in general alot

And the attitude.. Yes he does have a little attitude.. But it's from not being happy there.. No one is happy there.. He just shows it cuz he wants out

    Re: Adam Schefter on Porter

This is what I've been saying all along.
Porter was made the scapegoat for coaches that have no idea what they are doing.
Porter is better than anyone we have on the team now.
    Sorry but it's true.
If we could get him for a conditional pick or even a 3rd rounder it would be a steal.

Cajun, I didn't take what you said personally bud
    ;D.
I was the nit-wit that made the mistake with my verbage in the first place.
Sorry if I made it sound like I was reacting to your post.
You were totally correct with what you said.
That is exactly what I meant to say but I typed the wrong word.

    Thoughts....

Someone close to home that the Vikes could ask about the guy would be Rich Gannon.
He lives in the Twin Cities right? He would know if the guy is a problem or not.
IF the VIKINGS want Porter, there are people they could ask.

Also, Norv Turner (former coach) is in the NFL and he is not saying let's go get Porter, that we know of anyway. Is he with SF?

I will believe that when I see it.
Not doubting the report, just seems like an odd fit.

Plax left and became a better WR, stats-wise.

It is hard for me to see either wanting to be in Pitt other than the fact that it has potential to be a winning team again, maybe next year if Ben doesn't pull it together soon.

He would DEFINITELY be better than what the Skins got for THEIR third-rounder (Duckett, who sits on the bench)!!!

You see him cheering on the sidelines when his team was losing and clapping and smiling on every turnover? No thanks.

No way in hell Childress brings Porter in here.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I had respect for Al Davis many, many years ago, but his method of operation hasn't worked in a long time. He can't attract quality people to the Silver and Black." — former Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins coach Jimmy Johnson.

I love this quote by jimmy Johnson and it is true Al Davis is a wacko has always been a wacko and the reigns of that team should be taken away from him.

Not only are they a terrible team but they are in cap hell because of Davis who lost his mind years ago, but he is still trying to find it!
They should cut or trade half of their team the end of the season and start rebuilding the right way and stop Al's little quick fix crap!
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Who wouldn't put all their faith in the organization on this guy?
