Thread: AD wants 2500

9 short of 2500 is still 2491.

Couple of thoughts.......

a. AD got his yards this year by really only having 10 of 16 games with over 100 yards rushing and the first 6 games not really looking like AD of old.

Let him have 16 productive games at just 100 yards each game he will get 1600. Wouldn't be to hard to see him getting 150 yards a game for 2400 yards. Mix in 4 or 5 extra long runs over that span and 2500 yards is pretty conceivable and thats just based on how he did with Ponder as Ponder was this year with no receiving corps after Percy went down.

b. Lets assume that we fix our WR corps and Ponder jumps from just under 3,000 yards passing for the season and puts up 4,000 that would mean he would increase his reps from 480ish to around 550ish (Other QB's in the 4000ish last year....Rodgers 552/Freeman 558/Palmer 565/Schaub 544/Eli 536).

That means that Ponder would only take about 70 reps from the running game which shouldn't really hurt AD's production if you believe what most on here do and thats a better passing game would help AD's average yards per carry increase by voiding defenders in the box.

In the end, I think AD can get there even if Ponder improves his play.
