Re: AD vs Moss. Who has the better rookie year?
Very good points overlord! Hard to argue that post. Skol bucks to you! (that one's for the old timers!)

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Re: AD vs Moss. Who has the better rookie year?
Obviously this poll will be skewed by a) the fact the Peterson is a Vike now b) many people on here were not older than 10 during Moss' rookie year so probably don't remember it that well and c) there is plenty of Moss haters on here.
Peterson is great ... and this comparision is really impossible to do until the end of the year (it could be hands down A.P. or Moss by then), BUT other running backs have taken the league by storm before (sure not quite this pace ... and I surely don't want him to slow down). Dickerson ran for 1,800 yards and 18 TDs as a rook. Barry ran for almost 1,500 and 14 TDs. Campbell - 1,400 yards, 13 TDs. Edge - 1,500 and 13 TDs. L.T. - 1,200 yards and 10 TDs (both of which Peterson should surpass). Sure All Day has a shot at all of these, and is truly on an unprecedented pace ... but he is no 1998 Randy Moss.
No rookie EVER took the league by storm like Randy Moss. Defenses had absolutely no idea what to do with him.
His 17 TDs were a rookie record by A LONG SHOT. He would have had sicker numbers, if it wasn't for playing with a hall of fame wide out on the other side. He was the key ingredient in turning a 9-7 team into a 15-1 team that set the record for points in a season.
By the end of the year, All Day could make this a completely different answer, but right now ... Moss' rookie year is only paralleled by Dickerson's

The Bears are 26th against the run and the Chargers are seventh (going into today). But a defense is AMAZING when it stops both. The Vikes defense is solid against the run, but noone would call it an amazing defense.Their rush defenses are better than the ranks you posted, aren't they?

I had April 30th, but I'm a lazy man and didn't post it at that time. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Moss was also ALL-PRO that year. Not just a pro bowler (there are 8 WRs that are that every year), but ALL-PRO (along with Antonio Freeman). Re: AD vs Moss. Who has the better rookie year?
Both are extremely good.
AD is doing it with less of a supporting cast, but Moss did it as a WR which I'm inclined to believe is harder.
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Just don't confuse the hate. Many of us that are pegged as haters here know Moss is a very talented & gifted athlete, but because of his attitude towards the game & the team at times is questionable, think he would do more damage to the team as a whole if he were back here.

There are 32 teams in this league & when Moss hit the trading block for a 4th rounder, only 2 teams pursued him.
Why do you think that is?
Because this poll is too difficult for me to decide, because we are talking about two totally different positions & because we are only half way thru the season, I elect not to vote.
