You're not talking to me right because my original post says

Dude, you were watching "LowLights" Yikes the "NP Catch" .... OJ's burst thru' the his o-line the ("Electric Company as they turn on the Juice") was simular to AD, it was the upright style that looks so much like AD. Adrian has much more power and OJ played on that frozen field that limited some cutbacks, was fast for his era much like AD is fast in today's game.

now that i think about it.

AP reminds more of a faster eddie george. but with some barry sanders and some dickerson added in
    so he's like a frankenback?
    a combination of everyone.
Or perhaps, Peterson looks like Peterson, and all future backs will be compared to him.
You also have to add a dash of Earl Campbell. A great back who has been a little too forgotten.

It is of my opinion that Adrian Peterson runs a lot like Gayle Sayers.
There are differences in the players, with Sayers slightly longer stride, but the running style is similar.

No way did you see OJ play if you think they are alike.
I saw OJ play many times. OJ was a straight ahead, stand up runner with exceptional breakaway speed. Despite the highlites you watched, he didn't cut very much.

Now Peterson is an upright runner like OJ. And he has the speed to take it to the house like OJ.
But peterson can cut on a dime, OJ never could. And Peterson has power that OJ never had.

If you want to compare Peterson to someone from the past, I would compare him to the best two sport professional athelete ever. Bo Jackson.

Bo had a short career due to a devastating hip injury. But he was the running back that AD reminds me of.
    100% Agreed.

Incredible. Thank you for that. I hadn't seen him run for years.
The first Monday Night Football gane I was allowed to stay up for was his run into the tunnel against the Poopbirds
I think he can pound it like Bo, but I'd say he cuts and accelerates more like Barry Sanders.

    nobody has Barry Sanders elusiveness.
Reminds me almost a bit of Gayle Sayers elusiveness (judging by highlights, sorry i wasn't alive to see him)
