Re: About the Vikings Corner Duo

I don't know how effective a blitz will be against a run oriented team, sounds like trouble to me.

VKG4LFE the site said we had 24 offensive penalties, I had to double check to make sure the 44 on defense wasn't a combo of the two. They are saying as of right now we have had 68 penalties, can that be true?

Re: About the Vikings Corner Duo

I don't think so. We would be on pace to absolutely smash the NFL record of somewhere between 190-200 penalties. That just can't be right.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

Well I went through the game logs and this is the down low.

25 offensive penalties for 179 yards.

    Week 1 we had 9
    Week 2 we had 7
    Week 3 we had 8

    Defensive penalties 44.
That includes penalties that were declined and includes penalties on special teams.

Re: About the Vikings Corner Duo

Can we really man up this weekend with our problems at the safety spots due to injury??? OR, do we take a chance and go man to put the extra players in the box to stop the run and Vick?? Ahhh, my head is spinning, just think how Teddy's feeling right now ....

Nope, I think the 44 is the number of penalties commited by the other team against us.

    week one
    TB 13 - 99
    Cin 17 - 115
    NO 14 - 84
    Tot 44 - 298

I dont know why they have them listed on the defensive stats. But I was at the game against NO and we only commited like 8 penalties but NO had lots of false starts and other penalties. No way we had 14 against our defense alone.

just to clarify, under defense is the number of penalties the other teams have commited against you. Under offense is the number of penalties you have commited against other teams.

    Your absolutely right!!!

    That's a great thing, I didn't remember THAT many penalties. It's a relief!
    Thanks for figuring that out.

Really that means we are the best team in the NFL at getting other teams to commit penalties!!!

Hey, I just thought about something, I should be getting my vikings tapes in the mail from my mom tonight!!! WOOHOOOO, I'll have some games to watch tonight.

Oh, and I'm glad something was screwy about that whole penalty situation!! And by the way del, 9+8+7=24 not 25 penalties for the vikes O.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
