    Aaron Donald

Whats up with all these Aaron Donald rumors? Do you think Floyd is a bust?

    Aaron Donald

Floyd was just a first round pick by tha previous hc and has short arms and doesn't really fit Zimmer d but Zimmer suppose to be a fixer so I wouldn't c y u would draft a DT that high but i wouldn't mind that would be a nasty d line

Zimmer likes to rotate his D-Linemen. Picking Donald would be a great move IMHO. And, way too early to proclaim Floyd a bust.

This would be a horrible move. Why worry about a rotation at DT when you don't have enough starting Cbs or LB?

I would not hate this move because I think you can never have too many d-linemen (ask Seattle) ... but there definitely are more pressing needs and if we are in a position to pick Donald, we are probably better off trading back with someone who could use Donald a little bit more.

Of course ... if the staff is completely no-sold on Floyd, then this move becomes much better.

Why not move back and pick up Nix who IMO is a better player? If we are drafting a DT then get the best one, the only reason Nix isn't higher is because of an injury, I think he will be a better pro than Donald. Slide back to 16 or 17 and Pick Nix and get a second and fourth round pick from the Cowgirls.

OK, so, I'm curious, what's your LB at #8? CB? I could see a CB (I like Dennard).

It would be far from a horrible move, and, I'm certain there will be many more defensive picks by the Vikes.

I like the idea about trading back…but: 1) need a partner to trade…that wants someone who's available in your spot, 2) I would the trade you outline from the Cowboys all day long, 3) Whereas I respect your opinion, I have searched high, far, and wide…have not found one source (ESPN, Kiper, McShay, Mayock, Brandt…the list could go on) that rates Nix higher than Donald.

So, I think I'm safe in assuming you would prefer the Vikes trade back and draft another position.

We've already bolstered the DLine, no reason here with other glaring needs.

Ideally (today, it changes every day for me)

Trade back to 13 with St. Louis -pick up a 3rd and 4th (Rams have a ton of picks.

    1.13 HaHa Clinton-Dix (or Gilbert/Dennard)
Trade 2.37 and 3.96 to Washington for 2.34 - Derek Carr
    3.72 Stanley Jean-Baptiste (or LB/G)
    3.75 Paul Richardson

The reason you don't see Nix higher is because he hurt his knee(torn meniscus) and most analysts are weary of him being in shape. Pro football draft has Nix rated #1 and I like his size better than Donald. Donald is a 3tech and only weighs 288, the same pos. as Floyd. So why not take Nix who can play a 0tech.

You are right though I would prefer we trade back and draft a different pos. Dix, Dennard, Mosley, Ealy, Ebron and if we trade back even further a stud I like is Shazier. Great production and great speed at OLB, a pos. of need.
