Thread: 99 nfc championship game..what coulda been?

i just got done watching an NFL network "game of the week" that was the vikes nfc champ. game against the falcons. its one of the saddest things ive ever seen. they had so many chances to seal that victory and so many odd things go wrong in the 4th quarter of that game its unbelievable. they even won the toss in OT. that shoulda been the year they won it all

you shouldn't bring this up man. most viking fans are still a little sensitive about that game. i almost went comatose after the game, i literally didn't know what to do and i didn't want to talk to anybody for the next couple of days. what made it even worse was my friends team was the broncos and we going to bet on the SB if the Vikes and Broncos made it. of course the broncos won it all

Every your is the year we shoulda won it all. Its funny how quirky thing like losses get in the way.

That year Denver was amazing too, I think a lot of people were looking past the Falcons even some fans dreaming of an offensive shootout between the Vikings and the Broncos........I bet the NFL wanted that so bad as well.

A poorly managed game, and some bad kicks later and we are dreaming what ifs lol............Honestly I don't even know if we would have beat the Broncos, but it sure would have been fun to watch us try.

Man, I had that game blocked out of my memory. I paid thousands of dollars to psychiatrists, psychologists, witch-doctors, hypnotists, the cranky old lady from down the street...now it is back. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

Trying to make me miserable by bringing back painful memories so that I'll succumb? I've not been contemplating suicide just because we had an awesome team that looked like it could have won it all but came up short in the championship game.....

just kidding. But not about the part of being reminded of that day.

It was worse than that pain you feel from your stomach to your testies, when you have just seen something terribly horrific.

I have that game on DVD and watch it periodically................and cry!! lol
