8th position will give us a great player
I would be thrilled to take any of the following 7 players on draft day.
Assuming Robinson and Matthews are taken in the top 8 as well. We should be able to chose from 2 of them. Very excited for the draft.
First i dont want johny football ....clowney bridgewaters watkins will be gone ...maybe mack or barr fall to us ...if jags pass on bortles and cleveland take johny football...maybe bortles falls to us...hopefully a couple o lineman go in the top 7 picked

I like the idea of trading down a few spots, to maybe like 11th or 12th. Then you look at who's there. Clinton-Dix, Roby,Hageman,Mosley etc.all would be great choices while adding another 2nd rounder and possibly 3rd.. now you get one of these guys plus get 5 total picks in round 2 and 3..alot of analysts are saying late 2nd through the 3rd will be alot of value picks...so you get your 10 picks total plus an immediate starter at a position of need.

As for the other posters ... If Mathews and Robinson slide ... I personally do not hate the idea of taking one of them. Of course, then we are stuck with two tackles that feel like Left Tackles ... but GREAT offensive linemen are extremely rare ... and if we can have two of them at tackle ... whatever QB solution we go with would be made better.
Not my preference ... but again ... I don't hate it.

There s only two things stopping you - fear and common sense!! The Truth you CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

If those 2 Tackles slide, EXPECT teams like Miami to trade up to get them. While getting a top 5 QB/Def position dies a painful death for the vikings, we will suddenly become ground zero for teams in the teens looking to snag a OT without having to trade away 1-5 spot trade bait to get them. Does that make sense?
Put another way, #8 is a perfect spot for a Miami to trade up to for that perfect-fit OT they want, the one they previously thought they would have to trade to #3-5 to get...we would in effect be the #1 trade target for teams who desperately need the OT. #8 still has the value we need in order to get the picks we want, but it is still "cheap" enough for teams to trade to without losing the farm.Men are moved by two levers only: fear and self interest.

well this seems like the best year to trade back because of the depth...looks like a lot of quality players in rounds one two and three ...before i said use the 8th pick ..because you get a blue chip impact player....i guess either way we will come out on top ,as long as we draft better than good

The more i read of the different ways to use this position in the draft and considering our needs I believe we will be trading back for more picks and that looks more and more like a good idea to me. As far as the QB goes I have to just say "in Norv I trust" and watch the results. I was hopeful of Ponder for the first two years. I think I will be less tolerant with the next QB.Go ahead back up your to close away.
