I like it, though at 30, we will be doing a bit more betting/hoping than if we traded to someone in the early 20's.Quote:
2014 NFL Draft Trade Value Chart
Obviously, these values are not set in stone, but do still provide a guideline for what to expect.
The Giants were terrible last year because their OL was terrible and injured. They may be willing to make that move for Mathews or Robinson, but moving from 12 to 8 is only a difference of 200 points, roughly, their 3rd round pick. Definitely NOT a 2nd and 3rd.
If you want to land a 2nd, you need to find a trade partner around 350 to 550 points behind us...the Jets at 18 are 500 points back, that would be one 2nd round pick.
What do you guys think of this scenario? Is this TOO far back? I'm saying the 49ers have more picks than needs, and could really use a playmaker on offense to push them over the top. They have tried to add a weapon many times and failed. IF Watkins is there, they might be tempted to make the big move, from their #30 all the way to #8 to get in front of BUF and DET who are both thought to be looking WR. That is nearly 800 points, or enough to ask for both of their 2nds and one of their 3rds, giving us 3 picks in the 2nd AND 3rd rounds!!!
