I think all teams in the NFL are starting the whole ring of fame, cuz they don't want to permanently retire jersey #s cuz eventually they will run out! They will however shy away from giving them to a player for as long as they can I'm sure!

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I was thinking the same thing....I was also wondering...did Carter sign a contract with the Vikings to retire as one like many other greats do? I don't remember whether or not he did that.

Like I said, it is up to the team on the retiring of #'s, the HoF is voted.

    Lou Gehrig, Brett Favre's number.
Have you ever seen a race of turtles, and they all go the wrong way instead of towards the finish line?

    Welcome to the NFC North.

You sir are correct. I was figuring that an older person (30+ like me) would get it. Also, my son's jersey # for baseball. Gehrig was 'da man!

    :salute: Los!
