6000 tickets remain for Carolina game
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/09/11/vikings-struggle-with-ticket-sales/
Crap. The Minnesota Vikings are the latest NFL team to have a hard time selling tickets.
Although Minnesota’s home opener Sunday against the Colts is already sold out, the Week 3 home game against the Panthers still has 6,000 seats available, and the team is already sounding the alarm that a local TV blackout could be coming.
Steve LaCroix, the Vikings’ vice president of sales and marketing, described the task of selling tickets to the Panthers game as “a little daunting.â€Â

Re: 6000 tickets remain for Carolina game
Not a good sign.Given the issues, the Vikings initially packaged the Panthers game with one of the home games in the preseason. Since then, they have required purchasers of a ticket to the Nov. 9 home game against Green Bay to buy one for the game against the Panthers as well.
"We're putting every effort into this," LaCroix said.
It will definitely impact the interest in the game.Does that put extra importance on Sunday's game against the Colts?
"It's hard to say how the outcome Sunday will or will not impact the next game," LaCroix said.
Not saying it won't still sell out, but it will be much easier to get MN fans excited after beating Peyton than it will coming in 0-2 after a bunch of hype (misplaced though it may have been).
Adrian can only draw so many people.

This isn't a good sign on so many levels, I can't even make a joke about it.
Hopefully a win on Sunday will boost ticket sales.

Well, at least tickets will be cheap to come by.
Who's going to the Panthers game?
Everyone might as well bring the wife and kids to this one if you weren't planning on doing so already.
If it's anything like last year, tickets will be had for $10-$20 a piece outside the dome.

The Vikings have been packaging games with Green Bay for at least three years.
Many teams do that.Zeus wrote:

Its not like the Panthers are smucks, just a small market team without any rivalry or superstars.
