    Vikes...19
    49ers...17
Vikes win it on Longwell's 4th FG of the game.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

I would like to see a final of 12-6, Vikings.
Favre with 4 INTs, AD with 3 lost fumbles, and STs giving up the only score and blocking the extra point.
Watch people panic on pp.o even though they pulled off with a W after a -7 turnover ratio.

Lol ... that would be awesome ... this site would be completely unbearable for the next week.

Re: 49ers vikings, game day predictions

I think this will be a tough game if we come out flat in the first half like the last two.
That said, I think we will be fired up.
The Lions kept AP just under 100 yds, and SF held him to 3 yds when they last played.
He will have something to prove, and is going to do it at our home opener.
BF is due for an INT, but he seems to be taking sacks instead of flinging it out there.
I think the team underacheived in the first half against Detroit, but they always play us tough, it was a win on the road, and we still had the second stringers in the game in the 4th quarter. The Vikings will play 4 full quarters of inspired football.

    Vikings win.
    38-17
    AP 165 yds.
    2 TDs
    Favre 225 yds 2 TD's
    (Rice & Harvin)
Reynaud returns one to the house.

Re: 49ers vikings, game day predictions

As a lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers, thank you for allowing me to post in this forum. I do appreciate it, and I hope that my first post will not be the last (IE: exorcised from the forum).

I can tell you this much: We have spent six very long years wandering in a place called Purgatory -- and by "we" I mean San Francisco 49er fans. For those of us who witnessed the great years of Joe Montana and later Steve Young (I was 18 when Joe won his first Super Bowl) -- the last decade has been horrible.

The cocky, arrogant attitude that most Niner fans carried back in the day has been beaten out of us with the bloody end of a baseball bat. Six long years of losing, plus one painful 2-14 year, will do that to you. I don't profess to come in here and brag. No, that is long gone from me now.

But, this season has started with great promise. I do believe this Sunday is a benchmark game for the 49ers. I believe the Vikings are one of the best -- if not the best -- teams in the NFC. In past years, I would have hoped and prayed that you didn't murder us too badly.

But that was then. This is now. I'm not expecting the Niners to win this Sunday. Not many people are. But the fact is -- we're 2-0. And we beat last year's NFC Champs -- in their own house no less. A lot of people are dismissing that because it was the first game of the season. I'm not. A win is a win.

Therefore -- I shall extend the Olive Branch of peace by proclaiming the following score:

    49ers: 38
    Vikes: 10

The overlooked and underhyped Shaun Hill gets some payback for all those splinters in his keester.

    Good day gentle Viking fans....

I don't like to predict scores, but it will be a close one IMO.
The niners are doing good so far, and we're going to have to play better than we did in the past 2 weeks to beat them.

    Welcome!

Glad to hear you have a professional opinion, instead of claiming 'ZOMG WERE GUNA BEET U GUISE SO BAD U R GUNA BLEED FORM UR ASS' like the responses we get at your forum =P

I will say though, we beat the Cardinals last year too, at their house.
And I don't want to sound like you guys got lucky, but Boldin was hurt when you played the Cards a couple weeks ago.
Not too terribly hard to stop Fitz when Boldin isn't playing.
Kurt Warner is a hell of a QB though, so I will still commend you on your win.

I think the game will be close, I don't think it will be a blowout.
However, I do think we will win.
