With the draft over, and the dust beginning to settle at least as far as player personnel is concerned. It is time to concentrate on several important keys for Viking success in 09...

Wow, that was better then I expected.
Does anyone know about EJ's injury?
I wouldn't have thought dislocated toes would have too much of a lingering effect on a football player?
Maybe an Olympic sprinter or something, but not a football athlete.
Anyone ever dealt with it?The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

Four dislocated ones is serious cause for concern.
Hopefully he's able to move around like he was before, but he might still show some lingering signs of that injury.
Perhaps that would explain the drafting of a middle linebacker?

I just wanted to add that EJ Henderson is a goddamn monster.

I thought it was only 2 toes. Also Chilly said that he probably placed EJ on IR prematurely and that he could have played in the eagles games. I wouldn't expect too much lingering damage from an injury like that.

We drafted Middle LB for depth... we had to bring back Harris after EJ went down and Harris was way past his prime."BleedinPandG" wrote:

Our ST guys just didn't feel the need for LB depth the way we had hoped and it's a gap we still have to work on.The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

If Charles Gordon can return. He's pretty much battling it out with Paymah and a couple other for that last CB spot.

Pretty decent ... but he also failed to mention the fact that we had the No. 6 defense in the league despite only have EJ for four games. He is acting like our defensive excellence relies on EJ and that simply was not the case.
No doubt he makes us better though and hopefully he is back at full strength tearing shit up.
