When Bevell is gone, we can finally get rid of that horrid zone blocking scheme and WCO.. We have a RUN n GUN team.. Keep our new QB be it Joe Webb or Ryan Mallett in the shotgun.. Run it hard, throw it deep... almost like the pittsburg steelers offense. Like what they run.. all big ben does is throw it deep, or jumpballs or crossing patterns.. i bet he'd suck jiggly balls in a WCO.

HC: Fraizer

OC: Joshy McDaniels

DC: Pagac

LBC: Singletary

OLC: Tommy Cable.

We need an OC who is unpredictable and is knowledgable enough to recognize and then exploit weaknesses, week in and week out. Make the necessary changes in the offense from week to week to win.
I didn't see that when Childress called the plays. Was there any difference when Bevell called the plays? Maybe against Philly.
Bevell is an extension of Childress.
His departure is long overdue as is the Childress version of the WCO.

I'm assuming JK is being facetious, but here you can never tell on this site.

If McD was our OC, I would shit a brick. Dude is useless. He was never an OC, He was a Pat coach, but we all know Bellicheck ran that show. Does nobody find it odd that NE doesn't have an OC or DC this year? I don't. Because Bill runs that team. most coordinators out of NE have failed. I don't see how McD, after already failing will do any better.

I'm wondering what kindof offense you think Marty Ball is.........I remember when in Cleveland they refered to it as the "Run, Run, Pass, Punt" (R2P2).

Marty Ball is a philosophy of football associated with and named after former NFL head coach Marty Schottenheimer. In simple terms, it means a focus on the running game, with passing used only to further the running game.

Schottenheimer emphasizes offensive attacks that work as follows:

First down: a rushing play.
Second down: another rushing play.
Third down: a pass attempt.
Fourth down: punt (or field goal, if within range).

In short, its the same thing/concept as the KAO. Keep on chanting though, I like it. :P

I think there is a solid chance that Singletary either gets another HC gig or just flat takes a year off. I cannot see him considering a team with a defense already firmly in place that was put in place by the head coach.

As for OC ... there are definitely a lot of good options out there. I like the mention of Mooch, but I imagine if Mooch wanted back in, he would be looking for a HC gig.

I think McDaniels will likely be an OC next season, so he could be a possibility and would likely be a decent one.

And I think it is a logical step for Zorn to try and move into an OC position ... and he could fit nicely here.

The more I think about this, it seems that Chilly was a sacrificial lamb offered up to the fans in hopes for a stadium. LOL!

Wilfs seem to like to promote from within and the don't seem to totally flush Chilly's system down the toilet, they hire Leslie for continued continuity.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bevell and the interim DC stay around. But then again, I wouldn't be surprised if Leslie went after his former Bear team mate, Mike Singletary.

Mike should not be above taking a DC job. He had his shot and may never get another HC job.

Haven't had much time for Vikes today. Getting ready to go back in the closet, however, judging by what I've seen you are probably pretty close to accurate.

Only mention of any addition has been one that I kindof like and thats a must fill at the RB coach position.

One job he will have to fill is the position of running backs coach. That opened up with the end of the season when Eric Bieniemy went to the University of Colorado as offensive coordinator. One name that appears to be in the mix is that of former NFL running back and longtime position coach Johnny Roland.

Frazier is familiar with the 67-year-old Roland from their time together in Chicago. Frazier was a cornerback for the Bears from 1981 to '85 and Roland coached Chicago's running backs from 1983 to '92

Vikings looking at Roland?

As one commenter said, "If he was good enough to coach Sweetness, he should be good enough for AD". B)

The thing about Roland, is he actually good, or did he benefit from coaching one of the all-time best. Much like how some people believe Bienemy is a good RB coach, he also coaches the best back in the league. Hard to look like a bad RB coach in that position.

Same could be said for Theenimy.

One thing for sure, AD still hasn't figured out how to pass protect and still doesn't let his blocking scheme develop right.

Sweetness was pretty good in both of those areas.
