2010 NFL Draft one year later: Minnesota Vikings

I am going to have to knock the Minnesota Vikings for trading away their first round pick, to a division rival no less, and not using their first round pick on QB Colt McCoy (which may have been a reach). Worse than that they cost themselves a third round pick moving up in the second to select RB Toby Gerhart. That third round pick could have been McCoy, with great value, and could have added something to this club. I think Brad Childress had a very arrogant view of his roster and failed to improve his team.
Re: 2010 NFL Draft one year later: Minnesota Vikings
still pretty early to say, but I agree with alot of that. We failed to address QB when we NEEDED to IMO. We had the luxury of Favre for another year, no reason not to get a rook to back up a season.
Round Two- DB Chris Cook
- Has really done nothing so far. Been banged up all season, played something like 6 games, with a handful of tackles. Need to see him healthy to see what we got here
Round Two- RB Toby Gerhart
- I think everyone knows how I feel about this pick. Wasted pick IMO
Round Four- DE Everson Griffen
- Didn't see the field a whole lot, but hopefully without Edwards this year, we'll see what he's got
Round Five- OG Chris DeGeare
- Showed some good times, and some bad times. Coudl turn into a decent backup, or possibly even challenge for a starting spot, but that's more a reflection on how bad our line is, not how good DeGeare is.
- Round Five- LB Nate Triplett
No comment really, did he play this season at all?
- Round Six- QB Joe Webb
Not sure really what our plan is with him. He's obviously not in our plans at QB, I gotta think this might be better spent elsewhere.
- Round Seven- TE Michael Shuler
Didn't make active roster, good pick Brad
- Round Seven- RB Ryan D’Imperio
Same as above

I remember some yutz's on this site proclaiming it was such a great draft because we were so deep with talent that we were just stocking up the special teams unit. Remember this time last year when there was talk that the team was so stacked with talent that we couldn't even draft a player and expect them to see the field?
Funny how that all changed by about week 1 or 2 lol.

We had seven picks, two players got cut, one is on the practice squad.
Griffen, for all we know might turn into a good player, he was rated very well initially, Cook I was never a fan of since day one, and I absolutely hate the Gerhart pick.
This very wel lmight have been the second worst draft we've had yet under Childress (except the 05 draft)

Right right, i was mixed up on that one, That was first season under Wilf, not childress.
So then yes, this draft takes the cake for worst draft under Childress.
