2008 predictions. How many games will the Vikings win?

I am not as optimistic as I will be in August.

I see the Vikings splitting with the Bears and Packers.
    Sweeping the Lions.
Defeating the Falcons, Panthers, Texans, and the Giants.

Losing to the Colts, Saints, Bucs, Jags, Titans, and the Cardinals.

    Another disappointing 8-8 season.

I think it's a little premature. We know nothing about any of the teams next year.

Let me play along and shoot for a 9-7 season. Just to have my first moronic prediction of the year.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

A little early to predict at this point as we have no clue what will happen in the offseason with respect to FA's (on all teams) as well as the draft.
Heck, some of these teams will/could loose players to season ending injuries (2008 impact) during the playoffs.

Anyway, I am sapp for things like this and will play.

    Bears

    Win both.
Even if they get McNabb they will loose players like Berrian and Briggs.
    Packers
Split. I just can't ever predict that we loose both even though it might be a reality.
    Lions

    Win both.
    Turmoil will continue.
    Falcons
    Win.
No coach ID'd yet and no solution at QB. Team that will be rebuilding.
    Panthers Win.
Another team that isn't well run.
Lets hope we catch them early or real late in the season.
    Texans
    Win.
Team on the rise but still has holes at RB and QB.
    Giants

    Loss.
    They get even.
    Colts

Loss. They will loose some players this year but that org alwasys has good replacements.
    Saints

    Win.
Only if we play them at the Dome.
If we play them in NO could be a loss.
    Bucs

    Loss.
This team is getting older but I also think it is well coached and a good org.
    Jags

    Loss.
Del Rio is a good coach as long as he keeps axes out of the locker room.
    Titans

    Win. QB issues.
    Cards

    Win.
Lienart comes back and they continue to struggle with him.
Fitz will be distracted by contract stuff.

Don't like to do math in public.
    Is that a 11-5 record?
I will say 10 and 6 cause we will loose 2 that we shouldn't and win 1 that we should.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

A preliminary guess would have to be another 6-10 season... but that all depends on our FA moves.

Is that your default answer every year?
I believe you said the same last year, and even dropped it later on.

I expect to see continued improvement.
That, at a minimum means 9-7.
    But I would predict 10-6.

I'm actually surprised you pay that close of attention to my posts. Anywhoo... We had a chance to make the post season and Chilly couldn't find a way to rally the troops. He didn't have them ready to play and he had an ineffective game plan. I hoped for a crappy year this year so Chilly would be fired... however, that didn't happen. Now we have to deal with BC one more year. Sucks.

Im hoping that our draft this year will point to that answer. The Vikings are going to have to trade for free agents with these picks.
If we dont, I feel we could be 8-8.
If we get an all pro WR and a decent DE this could mean 11-5!
But I hope we consider McNabb or Cinco or Jarred Allen (KC)

9-7 with a chance to get to 10-6 and make the playoffs in the last game of the season.

As I've continually stated, The Mendoza Line for the 2008 Vikings is 10-6.
10 wins is where my bar starts...buck up boys!

Very hard to guess at this time, with so many moves to be made not only by us but my our oposition.....

But I'll be very disapointed if we don't make the playoffs next season.
With the strides we are making, that should be our main goal next season.

I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.
