Are the 2007 Vikings better than the 2006 vikings?
Last year at this point they were 2-2 this year they are 1-3.

I vote for about the same.
Talent wise, I think we are a better team than last year.
But performance wise, I am not sure yet.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

No,
We have dropped in terms of results but improved over all as a team with roles better defined.

Last I checked there is still 12 games to go.

You think we can turn this trainwreck around?
I don't think much has changed.
The only big difference is Longwell made game-wining field-goals at the beginning of last season.
Other that that....
Our offense still sucks.
We can't score points or move the ball very effectively.
Our coaching still sucks.
A.D. had 9 rushes for 100 yards in the first half and what, 3 carries in the second?
Reason being we were tiring out our best offensive weapon on kick returns.
Especially when both Allison and Williamson have shown some explosiveness at the position.
We are in Shotgun 59% of the time in the second half.
So there isn't even the threat of runing. Somehow, with a year and half and two defensive coaches, we still haven't figured out how to stop the 6-12 yard pass.
At least Kluwe is having an awesome year.
When it s all said and done, you ll have to admit we re number 1!

The QB situation sucks and everyone knew that going into the season.
There was a divergence on whether the Vikings should get a veteran QB or go with TJack and let him get some experience.
I was in the get a veteran QB camp, but, the coaching staff decided to go with TJack.
Like I've said before, 70% of the losses since Childress began coaching the team are by one score or less.
It would not take an incredible offense to turn things around.
Three losses by 3 pts, 3 pts, and 7 pts.
Definitely could turn things around.
I still think and have said it before that 2008 is the year where everything better be clicking and I'm hoping for improvements this year.
The original question, which I didn't make up, was which team is better, this year's or last.
I stand by my statement, there are still 12 games left in the season.
You can argue that all you want, and, guess what.
There will still be 12 games left in the season all week long.

What constitutes the sky is falling in your eyes? 2 years of the same shit? Going into a third year with no QB?
I voted worse. We have more talent and less wins. Doesnt matter if they are by 1 or 100 points. We need a HC who knows how to win.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_After_TomorrowThe film portrays the eye of the superstorms as having such a low pressure that extremely cold air (âËâ€*’150 °F or âËâ€*’101 °C) from the upper troposphere is sucked downward, instantly freezing all who are caught in the eye.
I actually think we're better than we were last year.
Not much, but I believe we're about the same on defense and better on offense.
Our offense has more playmakers (one), and a QB that gives us a chance to move the ball and score.
Our offensive numbers, other than scoring, aren't terrible.
Of course, we're at 1-3, and our record was better last year.
But the quality of our team is not the same as the quality of our team's results.
They're related, not identical.
I personally believe that a team that repeatedly wins by 100 points is not the same as a team that wins by 1 point.
Likewise, a team that loses by one score all the time is not the same as a team that loses by multiple scores.
Disagree?
Let me ask you this:
Team A has beaten 5 teams in a row, each by at least 35 points.
Team B, against the same quality of opponents, has beaten 5 teams in a row, each by less than 7 points.
Which team are you going to bet on to win when these two teams play each other? When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Our team looks identical to last year.
I voted no, because we should be better.
Especially after getting AD in the draft.
But, we could have the best players in the world.
If they are not used correctly we are just wasting their talent.
