2006 Draft Position Known... Somewhat
From Viking Update:
WEDNESDAY NOTES
* The Vikings now know with six or seven spots where they will pick in next April's draft. With their 8-7 record currently, if the Vikings lose Sunday, the best draft position they could earn would be No. 15. With a win, they could fall back no further than No. 21.
A loss to the Bears wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, if it actually made the difference in drafting 6 spots ahead.

indeed. as bad as it sounds, a lose sounds pretty good

hmmm...do we play for pride or do we play for the future? Honestly, I know I might catch heat, but a loss wouldnt bother me one bit. 15-21 is a big differnce. I wanna get the best spot we can. But if we win, I'll be happy, its a catch 22 and a half.

I believe many teams will be thinking the same thing!!!
I'm actually hoping to see the Bush bowl this weekend to see what may end up being the WORST game off football ever played...... intentionally.

IMO it isn't the draft that will fill the holes on this team. It will be FA where we will get the guys we need next year. Mainly a RB. I actually think the O line will be pretty good with the return of Birk and the addition of Fonoti. Most of the time I feel the draft is over rated in terms of its immediate impact on a team. Occasionally a rookie comes along that can start and make a difference but that is really rare. A lot of the great players weren't taken in the first round. Mostly the draft is a crap shoot.
