Thread: 2 days to training camp, do you feel the excitement!

only 2 days; it feels life forever. Can not wait for the ex-sheriff to come to town and get gunned down, shoot out at the metro corral August 14.

Unfortanetly I am moving into my new home that day in Eden Prairie and can't go to the game.

Yeah, the season is right around the corner!

I'm a little concerned about the 4 rookies getting signed before training camp. Kenechi Udeze's agent said he would be signed before camp starts, I really want him to be. I have high hopes for him to make an impact this season.

As long as they have everyone in camp by the Monday of next week, but it would be nice to have everyone in on time.

As much as I think we are going to count on Kenechi he is going to need all of camp and as many reps as he can get.

Both the Vikings front office and Udeze's agent have been saying that Kenechi will be in camp on time. I feel pretty confident that he'll be signed on time.

I'm going to eb there for the Kick-Off and the opening practice the following day. Can't Wait!

That would be so cool to get all the news you guys get and to beable to see one of the games in the metrodome! That would be so cool to see. And plz give info that would be very helpfull to others like me thx..

I used to live in Eden Prairie (moving back after a 5 year absence), I would run into viking players every now and then.

Mike Merriweather (spelling ?) lived a couple doors down, very nice guy. lived in the same apartment building as Carl Lee (he was not that friendly).

I worked with Sandy Stephens former QB for the Gophers (the last time they went to the Rose Bowl & won a national championship) for a couple of years. He was great guy to work with! He passed away 3 or 4 years ago.

Also Bud Grant's son Mike is the head Football coach of the Eden Prairie High school, he has a dominating program, (off the top of my head) I think the have won 3 or 4 of the last 6 large school state championships.

That's pretty sweet whackthepack!! I used to work at a grocery store in high school and Christian Laettner went there!! There's my thrill of meeting pro athletes, other than at the stadiums or at signings!
