Re: #1 Rush Defense?
I heard a guy on KFAN saying the best D was Denver.
We are doing well.
You don't have to be the #1 D to be a SuperBowl winner.

It all depends on how you figure it, if you use yds/game the Chargers come out on top with the Vikings falling into the #7 slot.
If you use the pts/game Denver comes out on top and the Vikings fall into the #6 slot, two behind the Patriots with 15.8, 13.3, respectively.
Yes, the Vikings are the #1 rushing defense.
It is nice to see the D perform on the Vikings' squad, no doubt about it.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

Just how many fans have we had here bashing #27's performance & thinking it was Smoot?

Re: #1 Rush Defense?
Lol.
Some people don't even take the time to see who made a bad play.
They just see a bad play and assume it is Smoot.
What? A missed tackle?
Must have been Smoot.
An Incomplete pass? Had to have been Smoot passing.
A fumble?
Probably Smoot...Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Turn Paul Allen on from KFAN and listen to him annouce it, hes one of the top play-by-play guys in the NFL IMHO."ultravikingfan" wrote:
I probably wouldn't listen at all lmao, but it is just an idea for those that would. I watch a lot of games with no sound at all."Del" wrote:
And you would be the person least likely to listen knowing you. There should be an audio stream on PP.O where you could announce the game lol. Turn your volume down and let the fans commentate.
Or you could use it as fodder.
;D
Then again I have perfected ignoring my wife and tuning her out so I think I can manage Joe Thiesman and crew.

Vikings move to No. 1

At least they did in rushing defense. The Vikings came out of Sunday’s victory over Seattle ranked No. 2 against the rush behind Dallas. But the Cowboys gave up 155 yards in their loss to the Giants, bumping Dallas to fourth and Minnesota into the top spot.
The Vikings have surrendered an average of 70.8 yards per game. A look at the top five run defenses in the NFL through Week 7.
1) Vikings 70.8 yards given up per game
2) Baltimore 71.2 yards
3) Chicago 74.5 yards
4) Dallas 81.7 yards
5) San Diego 82 yards
The key to the Vikings’ success is that nose tackle Pat Williams has continued to be a force in the middle and defensive tackle Kevin Williams has rebounded after battling through injuries and weight issues last season.
By the way, the No. 6 rushing defense belongs to the Patriots, who will be at the Metrodome next Monday to play the Vikings. New England is giving up 83.8 yards per game.
