Thread: #1 Receiver?

2: a lack of foresight or discernment : a narrow view of something
If you need help knowing what 'discernment' means...
1: the quality of being able to grasp and comprehend what is obscure : skill in discerning
2: an act of perceiving
Saying someone accused you of being racist because you didn't understand the vocabulary used doesn't make you correct... or intelligent.

And we coulda had Roddy White instead of TWill...Double D'oh!!
Here's a mock for fixing WR!!! Between Justin Hunter and Robert Woods, you gotta figure one of the two would work out well!?? Also snagging Ogletree for MLB, Tyrann Mathieu at CB in 3, and then a Safety from Georgia and the DT, Logan, from LSU in the 4th. Not Bad. Tho, I imagine all those failed drug tests would make our Vikings a bit too nervous for a 3rd on TM...?

Define what a #1 receiver is for me. Are you more focused on a X who runs the 8 and 9 route and catches deep balls (i.e. Moss of old), a Y who plays in the slot and catches alot of short stuff (Percy/Welker) or are you looking for a Z (intermediate/possesion kindof guy ala Cris Carter)?
Truth of the matter is, in a WCO there is no true #1. What you have is a complete WR corps that can expose weaknesses in the defense that will open up other areas of the field be that the running game, a RB catching passes out of the backfield or even your TE inside the hash marks.
Heck, for that matter, if you have a true X, Y and Z on your team they will help each other in that if your X is being doubled on the edge and your Z is commanding attention from a Mike and a S, it will leave your Y and TE open on the short stuff and in the hashes.
In short, what we need is a full compliment of WR's not just a "#1". That is really an old, out of date, way of thinking.
On a side note, and somewhat related....here is something a yutz I know wrote the other day....
