1-3 and many want Childress out... but who would replace?

Well, people have been callin' Childress to the choppin' block for a while now; even before week 4. Now that the team is 1-3 and far from the expectations we and ESPN "analysts" had for the team, that seat is burnin'. I'm still undecided on whether or not I'd like to see Chilly fired, but if I were leaning either way i'd say it'd be more the side of sending him on his way.
Either way, the question will still stand: Who to replace him? I haven't really seen anything about this, but of course, I always seem to miss it. So if this a duplicate, burn it. I promise not to bitch about "wered my thred go?/"

For now, like if he was fired tomorrow, it would probably be Leslie Frazier.
If the team responds well and shows marked improvement/wins games, he'd probably be the coach for a few years depending on the results he can produce.

If not, my money would be on Cowher or Schottenheimer, if either is willing to come out of retirement.
I think they would gladly take over a team that is built to win a SB now, rather than say, a Cleveland Browns team or a Detroit Lions.

Cowher would be my choice but I don't think there is much chance of him coming out of retirement. Kiffin will be free soon, as for Schotty not sure there is a huge upgrade there. I do think Chilly will take the can and be gone at the end of October during the bye week if things don't improve. Our only hope is that the rest of our division sucks worse than we do.

i dont think itd get done, cuz the season is too long and people are gonna think we can turn it around.
even thuogh his history hasn't really shown that.
the last couple of years the wild card consisted of a bunch of teams lingering around 500.
with the way the nfc east this year i dont think a 9-7 is getting in, and considering we haven't won more than 8 games under childress i have very little confidence he can do it.
and they wouldnt be able to bring in a guy during the season, chances are they would just promote from within.
but like i said, i doubt wilf will do it.
when it does happen, they have to bring in a experienced coach who has proven he can win.
i'm not willing to sit around and possibly for a young coach to cut his teeth.
those things sometimes work, but i dont have the patience after watching childress.

As much as I want to see Childress fired, I don't believe it helps the team to fire the coach in the middle of the season.
I have to believe that unless Childress turns it around and the Vikings make the playoffs Zygi will fire him at the end of the season.
Zygi has proven that he will spend the money to bring in the players to make this team better.
I have to believe that he will use the same approach regarding a new head coach.
After two years off it would be nice if he made an attempt to get Cowher.

I say we promote our DEFENSIVE coordinator Leslie Frazier to Head Coach.
I've always liked that guy and he seams to get the players' respect.

Head Coach: Defense = Leslie Frazier.
Head Coach: Offense = Steve Mariucci.
This guy has direct ties to the original WCO.

Maybe Chilldress needs to put down the happy pills and get fricken pissed...?

Childress will not be head coach next year.
