Where's the Beef?
Ladies and gentlemen, whereas I'm honored to be playing in PP.O Fantasy Football, I'm nonplussed with the banter. So, I will start.
Whereas our Vikings had the slowest WRs in the history of the NFL on the field Sunday, the Scumbags had the biggest and the best. My Johnsons are BEASTS and cannot be denied. I will back them up happily with a 4.3 speedster, who's picture on NFL.com resembles Zippy the Pinhead, my man, Mike Wallace.
At RB, whereas the Vikes have one of the best, the Scumbags have four solid players, Forte, Bradshaw, Tomlinson, and JaCharles. Just gotta pick the best two, which, isn't easy week to week. Geez, I understand Chilly's turmoil.....
QB, well, please, I'll take a top 10 all-time performance and ride that to a 199-98 beatdown, thank you Mr Vick. Are you kidding me? Ok, so, do I choose Vick or Orton the Rest of Way? It should be obvious that, the Scumbags have a long-term QB plan, vs the Vikings who have one guy texting his sphantze, a skittish overthrower, and, an "athlete," the 'Bags are set for the near term, and the Playoffs.
Tight end is the weakness! I think not, the backup Colts TE where their WRs are dropping like flies and the #1 went down? I'll take that. Oh, Tamme is my #2, to Mr Davis, who, in spite of working for a coach who is more of an idiot than Chilly (as far as coaches go), is a solid TE, just ask our Vikings.
Kickers suck...but, I've got a good one, if there is such a thing.
Defense, I'll take Philly. Would rather have the Vikes, but, we suck this year.
So, if the front office of our Vikings would like any tips, I can be reached 24/7.

I thought my 158 points was a safe week-high, then along came Michael Vick.

Thought I had a 200 point week until the Eagles gave up a couple of yards and TDs to the 'Skins.

I lost week 1 on tiebreaker points and by less than 5 twice.
My 3 game winning streak took me into the top 4 in Zimmerman, so long as I maintain, I'm playoff bound and in good shape.
And Max, a 200point week would have been epic. I've never seen that before.

Not that I've seen.
It's not quite the same as 200 though lol. It's like rushing for 1,999 yards in a season.

Re: Where's the Beef?
Prior to this week, the league high for the season was 176, by Art in Week 2. The weekly high is typically around 160 or so.
My best so far has been 144, but I'm 8-2 and in a very solid second place in Tingelhoff. And one of those losses was by one point.
Rivers has been my hero at QB thus far. I had Favre as backup until two qweeks ago, when I finally dropped him right before the Cards game for Fitzpatrick. Go figure.
My RBs have been great so far as well. Drafted Mendenhall and J Charles, then later picked up Hillis just before he exploded.
WR are decent, with Wayne and Lloyd leading the way.
TE has been a weakness since the first few weeks, as I have Shiancoe. But I did just manage to grab Heap as well.
And my kicker won me a match... Carpenter. I had Kaeding originally, until he got hurt.
Defenses have not been great. Another "go figure" for me was the Ravens D, whom I had through eight weeks and never got any turnovers. As soon as I dropped them, well, you've seen it. Now I have the Chiefs, and naturally, they were good early, but have been shelled the last two weeks.
All in all, not too bad for a rookie, I guess.
My Meeple is purple. What color is yours?

I need to go check, as I don't know how many of my players are still on it out of the draft. I suspect the number will be small as I elected, again this year, to let the server draft for me.Marrdro wrote:

I know I have made some real good moves and landed a few studs that weren't even mentioned in fantasy world going into this year. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
