Trent Green:What to do?
I have Trent Green in 3 of my ffb leagues. Should He be dropped at this point? or hang on to him

Re: Trent Green:What to do?
I'd say drop him. I would. He won't be back for a while and when he does come back, he'll be rusty for at least another week maybe 2 or 3, being afraid of the hit. Drop him
Trying to bring rationale to an irrational site

If only for another week or two, I'de hold onto him. Or try to put him on waivers.....and resign him...but I'de try to hold on to him if he is to come back soon....

Re: Trent Green:What to do?
I would drop him. He is going to be out for a little while, and he definately won't get back to the stats he's had the past few years for a few reasons:
1. He's a year older (like 36 or 37 now). Obviously as we've seen with Brad a quarterback can still be effective at that age, but I don't think there are going to be many guys like Warren Moon that pass for 4000 yards in their late 30s.
2. Herman Edwards LOVES to run the ball. He's always been a run first kind of guy, and with Larry Johnson that will definately be the case.
3. Green's receivers are NOT that good, and he's not like Tom Brady who can throw to retarded midgets and throw for 4,000 yards.

At this point, if there's anything halfway serviceable (say: Jon Kitna or Alex Smith), I'd drop him like a bad habit.
Al Saunders being gone is really going to hurt the Chefs this year.
If the backup you already have is good, I might hold onto him to see what happens, since it doesn't really hurt you all that much.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Re: Trent Green:What to do?
If Alex Smith is available, pick him up and drop Green. I hate to say it, and it's even harder with a straight face, but the 49ers actually look like they might have a clue, and Smith has looked pretty gol 'darnit good for his second season
I also had him on one of my teams, and he got dropped real quicklyYou can't be let down if you don't expect the world

Re: Trent Green:What to do?
Use him to spruce up a trade offer for a weakness on your team.
Give a middle-of-the-road player along with him to pick up someone you need.
Sell him based on how much of a hero he will be later in the season.
Look at the rosters of others in your league and look for a theoretical win-win situation....then screw them over with salesmanship.

I didn't even notice you had Trent, nevermind on the picking up Alex Smith comment. And don't hope for Warner to get hurt either, cause then i'm toast"Prophet" wrote:
