Not bad at all, although it's not that hard to wind up with a great team if you only have eight teams total.

Not really liking the Chiefs defense all that much though.

You should be pretty competitive with that roster.

    ;D
    Not necessarily - it's an 8-team league.
Everyone has a loaded roster in an 8-team league.

    =Z=
Yep I got to agree with Zeus on that one. But I think mine would be in the top 3.

When I picked Parker, LT, Larry Johnson, Steven Jackson, Gore, (Addai or Alexander) & Reggie Bush were gone. Marvin Harrison WR was also taken in the 1st.

I took Parker because he had almost 1500 yards last year & 13 TD's.

    Easily replaced if need be.
Dolphins and Gould should be decent.
I believe the Dolphins defense was ranked 5th last year according to NFL.com & caused a lot of turnovers.

Robbie Gould kicked 32 FG's & 47 PAT's last year & was top on my list. With Grossman at QB, he'll get a lot of opportunities for FG's & with the Bears defensive scoring crew, he'll be kicking PAT's as well.

Ya, I thinking more on the line that if they don't fair as well as last year they can be easily replaced.

    That was good reasoning.

I took them for the bye week & because they caused 29 fumbles last year according to the stats I had. Unless I'm reading them wrong.

    http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats;jsessionid=7351D197468FBC68C657C690B 347585B?offensiveStatisticCategory=null&seasonStri ng=2006-REG&archive=false&defensiveStatisticCategory=GAME_ STATS&d-447263-o=2&Submit=Find&conference=null&tabSeq=2&role=OPP& d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=FUMBLES_TOTAL&d-447263-n=1

I'm reading that stat as fumbles caused & the lost stat as those fumbles that the offense regained possession of. If I'm incorrect, let me know what those two stats are implying.

Not bad at all for your first draft, Singer! I like the Manning, Evans and Peterson picks, for sure. Coles is being thrown to by Chad Pennington, Mr. Noodle Arm. Overall a very nice first draft.

Coles might be a crap shoot with the way Pennigton played, but I'll be starting TO & Evans for the most part anyways.

Congrats on the first draft singer!

Now let me rip it apart.

I like your first three picks, Parker, Manning and Owens.

I don't like Lewis at all because he is playing on a crappy team, and he sucked last year on a good team. Luckily you picked up Peterson in the 8th round, I think he will be your starter by week 3 or 4.

I probably wouldn't have picked up a defense so quickly, if I did I would have to get one of the elite defense, Patriots or Bears.

Although Robbie Gould is a good kicker, it was way to early to take a kicker any kicker. When you compare the #1 kicker and the #10 kicker there is usually not much of a difference.

I do like Rivers as your back up QB.

I think Furrey was probably your best late round pick-up. The lions added offense weapons in Calvin Johnson and Tatum Bell, this should leave Furrey in single coverage a lot.

I like that you got Chester, that pick really is like an insurance policy for Peterson. If either one gets injured this year the other is almost guaranteed to have a huge year.

All in all a pretty good draft for a newb. ;D

The reason I picked a defense when I did was because people picking before me started grabbing the top defenses. The Bears, Patriots & Ravens were already gone, so I thought I'd better grab one while I could.

Again this was my first draft & I don't hardly watch of follow any other teams other than my beloved Vikings.

I didn't even realize that Lewis was no longer with the Ravens until after I picked.

I relied on last years stats alot, rather than this years projections. Since we get 6 points for each RB TD & points per yds gained & Lewis scored 9 of them with 1132 yards, I took Lewis.

I thought about Deuce who had more TD's, but with Bush as his team mate, I figured his carries would drop
