I kind of like it, but not know what was available when you made your picks makes it difficult to know if you did a good job or not.

Running game is important in most leagues.

    Good luck to you.

Your QB's are going to win you a lot of games. Manning and Rivers, pretty much stellar starter either way you look at it there. You may even want to use one as trade bait if you see a good money QB in waivers/FA

The RB's are pretty good. It was nice that you got both Chester and AD. Parker is a good starter, Lewis SHOULD be a good backup but he's been sketchy the last few years.

I like the pick of Winslow.

    So your lineup looks like

    QB- Manning
    RB- Parker
    RB- Lewis
    WR- TO
    WR- Coles
    WR- Evans
    TE- Winslow
    K- Gould
    Defense- Miami

Not bad at all for your first time. Keep us updated

Not too sure about your WR simply because I heavily consider who is throwing them the ball, You've got Romo, Losman, and Pennington throwing to your receivers.

Lewis is also iffy but he should get a lot of carries so I think you're ok there. Getting both RBs in the same committee is not a move most rookies know! Great call on that one.

Also, people call Manning a no-brainer pick, but its hard to get him when you see all those RBs flying off the board

I think Losman has a chance to have a huge year.
He really started to hum along pretty good at the end of 2006.

    Way to go Singer.
You should be pretty competitive with that roster.

    Not necessarily - it's an 8-team league.
Everyone has a loaded roster in an 8-team league.

With that few teams luck becomes even more important.
Unless you have a couple complete idiots in the league it becomes all about guessing right on the matchups because everyone has stacked teams and plenty of points on the bench.

Some might call that skill but when you have to sit a top 15 WR to play two other Top 15 WR's it's tough to make that decision regardless of how much skill you
have at evaluating talent and matchups
